Sun Protection When Pilots Need it Most
Pilots have long relied on a variety of methods to manage cockpit heat and glare—from temporary sun shades and window films to improvised solutions that can be difficult to position, remove, or live with long-term.
Jet Shades were developed with a different approach in mind.
Each package fits seamlessly within the window recess, creating an integrated appearance that looks like it belongs in the cockpit. The lightweight panels help reduce heat, glare, and UV exposure while preserving the visibility needed for flight.
The result is a removable system designed to improve comfort for pilots and passengers while providing sun protection when it matters most: during flight.
How Much Sun Coverage Do I Need?
Jet Shades are typically available in three package options. Click the hotspots to explore the coverage included with each package. Or, compare all package options.

Which Shading Level Should I Choose?
Both shading levels block 99.9% of harmful UVA/UVB rays and provide excellent in-flight visibility. The difference comes down to how much light, heat, and glare each tint level reduces.
High Visibility
- Light bronze tint (subtle, non-reflective exterior)
- Maximum visibility for traffic and surroundings in flight
- Reduces glare while maintaining a brighter cockpit
High Performance
- Dark blue tint (mirrored exterior)
- Maximum heat and glare reduction for high-sun conditions
- Darker tint for stronger light reduction
