While Jet Shades are designed to provide the best visibility out of the side windows for pilots, the upper half of the windshield and all cabin windows can be upgraded to our Premium Jet Shades specially formulated with a deeper cool blue color that further reduces the amount of heat, light, and brightness that enters the aircraft. The tint also creates a more enjoyable cabin environment by allowing passengers to keep the window shades up and enjoy the view. A Premium upgrade for the upper windshields also gives pilots superior glare reduction that decreases eyestrain, fatigue, and headaches. The Piper PA-32 Cockpit Solution includes two high-visibility side window and two high-visibility windshield Jet Shades that easily insert. Since Piper PA-32 aircraft have been around for many years, we have found that certain aircraft model years do not have close enough tolerance for us to make a stock Jet Shade that will exactly fit each aircraft.

The solution is to have your Jet Shades custom-fit to your Saratoga. Custom Jet Shades are designed and precision-fit exactly to your aircraft windows. The process is straightforward and our authorized dealers or your local maintenance shop can typically custom make your Jet Shades while your plane is in for service.

How Much Does it Cost?

Our authorized dealers (or your local shop) will quote the customization of your Jet Shades and provide the final price to install. You can have expert aircraft technicians measure, cut and outfit your PA-32 Saratoga cockpit with Jet Shades for a retail price of $999 to $1,299* or your entire plane for $1,599 to $2,199, plus labor and shipping.*

How Long Does it Take?

An authorized dealer or your local maintenance shop can typically custom make and fit your Jet Shades in 2-4 hours while you grab a crew car, get lunch, and do some local sightseeing or shopping.

The Jet Shades Story

The idea for Jet Shades was born in 2017 when a private pilot/engineer who constantly struggled with hot, uncomfortable flights finally had enough. He wanted to enjoy flying without having to resort to temporary or unsightly hacks to block the heat and glare. Utilizing his engineering background, he tested various materials and installation methods that could be FAA approved and ultimately resulted in the creation of a virtually unbreakable, eye-catching window panel that blocks UV, heat, glare and solar energy while providing maximum visibility for pilots. Jet Shades are available for cockpit and cabin windows in a growing number of aircraft types — including propeller, turboprop, jets, airliners and helicopters.
