Custom Solutions
Precision-fit by our experts for your Baron!
Hot cockpits, bright sun, solar glare, UV radiation, and just being uncomfortable with the sun beaming through the cockpit windows have always made the Baron cockpit flights less enjoyable and more fatiguing. What’s more, since Baron aircraft have been around for many years, over time, aircraft window trim has aged, warped, been replaced, or updated and no two Baron aircraft have close enough tolerance for us to make a stock Jet Shade that will exactly fit each aircraft. Even within the same Baron model… Really – we’ve tried!
The solution is to have your Jet Shades custom-fit to your Baron. Custom Jet Shades are designed and precision-fit exactly to your aircraft windows. The process is straightforward and our authorized dealers or your local maintenance shop can typically custom make your Jet Shades while your plane is in for service.
Our Jet Shades Custom Solutions will:
- cool down your Baron flights,
- significantly increase the comfort of the pilot and passengers,
- provide excellent visibility through the windows,
- protect all on board from harmful UV radiation,
- reduce glare and pilot fatigue,
- prevent overheating of your tablet/phone,
- eliminate the installation and removal of foil guards*,
- make your Baron a sharp-looking plane on the ramp!
With Custom Jet Shades installed in your Baron, you, your family and other passengers will want to fly in your aircraft just because itâs so nice inside!
*Always follow the aircraft manufacturerâs and Jet Shadesâ instructions when leaving Jet Shades installed while parked.
Your Baron Can Look Like This With Custom Jet Shades:
Dealer Installation
Leave the design and fit to our experts!
Custom Jet Shades are designed and produced exactly to your aircraft windows. The process is straightforward and our dealers or your local maintenance shop can typically custom make your Jet Shades in a few hours, perhaps even during a long lunch! We are always adding new dealers. Check our dealer list or ask your local maintenance shop to become a Jet Shades dealer!
How Much Does it Cost?
Our authorized dealer or your local shop will quote the customization of your Jet Shades and provide the final price to install. You can have expert aircraft technicians measure, cut and outfit an entire Baron B58 (cockpit + 6 cabin windows), with our high visibility Jet Shades for an estimated price range of $2,200-$2,400.* Acrylic inserts run about $3,200-$3,500 installed and cannot legally tint the cockpit windows more than 30%. Jet Shades are removable in flight and can block 72% visible light along with providing high visibility with our slight bronze tinted formula. See the comparison to acrylic inserts here. Upgrade to our premium package for even more protection in the cabin and upper windshield. With Custom Jet Shades installed you will notice the difference. Check out our reviews and what customers are saying online in the Owners forums. Jet Shades work!
*Dealer customization/fitting prices may vary depending on the aircraft model.
How Long Does it Take?
An authorized dealer or your local maintenance shop can typically custom make and fit your Jet Shades in 2-4 hours while you grab a crew car, get lunch, and do some local sightseeing or shopping.

Jet Shades Do More & Cost Less
Before Jet Shades, the only custom option for blocking sun glare were acrylic inserts. Since these inserts are only for passenger windows, they don’t offer pilots any relief from hot sun pouring into the cockpit, AND they typically cost much more than Custom Jet Shades.

Kristoffer Patasnik –
I was fortunate enough to have Jet Shades make their very first set in a Baron for me. I Absolutely love them and have yet to take them out of my window day or night. As said above if you have issues they will address it as they strive for 100% satisfaction.

I have been flying around with them in sunny San Diego for about 2 weeks now. I have a 1972 E55 Beech Baron. They are freaking awesome !!!! I don’t think I can go back to a regular window anymore. The best part is for night ops you can just remove them which is great.
I highly recommend them, the clarity and quality is excellent. The clarity of the sunshades is amazing, kind of like your best pair of sunglasses plus theyâre easy to remove for night. I flew from San Diego up to San Luis Obispo and back. I had the sunshades in the whole time it was nice and cool in the plane. Best money Iâve ever spent.
